Call Captioners

Are you a fast typist with sharp ears and strong English skills? Looking to make an impact
with your digital talents?

We are hiring Call Captioners to join a mission-driven team helping make phone
conversations accessible to people with hearing impairment. You will assist individuals
with hearing loss by providing real-time captioning support for telephone conversations.
This role combines elements of customer service, communication assistance, and
accessibility support. Your primary responsibility is to ensure accurate and timely
captioning while maintaining a high standard of professionalism, integrity, and
confidentiality.

Location: On-site, Nairobi
Contract: Full-time

What You'll Do:
1. Caption live phone conversations in real-time using smart software
2. Ensure speed, accuracy, and clear grammar at all times
3. Adapt to different speaking styles, accents, and call types
4. Ensure flow of the conversation including all nuances
5. Keep all data 100% confidential
6. Contribute to a critical communication service for vulnerable communities

RequirementsWho We're Looking For:

1. Typing speed of at least 40-60 WPM with 90%+ accuracy
2. Excellent English and grammar (minimum C1)
3. Strong computer navigation and digital literacy
4. Great focus, listening and comprehension skills
5. Previous experience in transcription, captioning, or customer support is an added
    advantage
