JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION LINE TECHNICIAN - ELECTRICALAbout This Job:Q -SourcingLimited trading as Q -Sourcing Servtec is a man power management solutions firmoperating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya,Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.On behalf ofour client, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Production Line Technician to work in Thika, KenyaJob Summary:The Shift electrician technician will beresponsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems andcomponents of industrial machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate shouldhave a strong understanding of electrical systems, troubleshooting abilities,and a commitment to safety.DUTIES& RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Installation and Maintenance: · Install, maintain, and repairelectrical systems, wiring, and components of tobacco machinery and equipment. · Perform routine electrical inspections,electrical online tasks and preventive maintenance to ensure machines operatesefficiently and safely.· Troubleshootelectrical issues and repair or replace faulty components as needed· Line manning of the shift duringproduction to achieve zero downtime2. Electrical Systems: · Interpret electrical schematics,diagrams, and technical documentation to identify and resolve electricalproblems.· Testelectrical systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliancewith safety standards.· Upgradeelectrical systems to improve performance, efficiency, and safety.  3. Safety Compliance:· Adhere tosafety protocols and regulations while performing electrical work, includinglockout/tagout LOTOTO procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE)usage.· Conductsafety inspections and recommend improvements to mitigate electrical hazards. C) Key Outputs/Deliverables/KPIs1. Installation and Maintenance:a. Reduced downtime through vigilant line manningb. Percentage of electrical issues resolvedwithout the need for follow -up visits or   rework.c. Reduction in repeat electrical failures overtime.d. Performing work at height tasks where need isneeded 2. Electrical Systems:a. Average duration of downtime per incident.b. Average time taken to respond to electricalmaintenance breakdowns.c. Percentage of urgent electrical issuesaddressed within a specified timeframe.d. Mean Time between Failures (MTBF) forelectrical components or systems.e. Improvement in equipment reliability over time.3. Reporting & DocumentationMaintain accurate records of production activitiesand other issues arising and also prepare reports on the production line andperformance and make recommendations for improvement4. Safety Compliance:a. Reporting number of electrical safety incidentsor near misses.b.
