Our Vision  Africa's solution to bridging the talent gap.  Job Summary  BrighterMonday Kenya is  seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Learning and Development Associate to support a youth skilling and employment impact project that aims to improve employability of Kenyan youth and transition them into dignified employment. The Associate will manage learning and development aspects of the project, ensuring strategy development and implementation to meet project objectives on youth skilling in employability and soft skills, with special focus on young women, refugees and persons with disabilities. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross -functional teams to ensure that project -specific training needs are met through strategic design and implementation of the project's skilling activities. The role will lead and optimize training and instructional content initiatives, while coordinating training workplan delivery ensuring execution to achieve all learning and development milestones. Reporting into  Head, Youth Engagement and Learning Key Responsibilities Learning Strategy Development: •      Design and execute comprehensive learning and development strategies aligned with project objectives and target outcomes while enhancing team performance throughout the project lifecycle. •      Collaborate with project stakeholders and department leaders to identify learning needs specific to the project.  •      Conduct regular needs assessments to determine the skills gaps and identify specific training requirements for diverse youth groups, including marginalized populations. •      Ensure learning approaches and activities accommodate diverse learner needs, including assistive techniques and accessibility. Training Design, Coordination and Delivery: •      Program implementation, Learning and Development, ideation and implementation of best in class pedagogical approaches to soft skills training across learner segments •      Develop and oversee the creation of instructional materials, training modules, and curricula focused on employability and soft skills ensuring training content is inclusive, culturally appropriate, and accessible to underrepresented groups. •      Coordination of training scheduling and management of training partners across the country •      Manage the recruitment, onboarding, and capacity -building of trainers and facilitators, ensuring high -quality training outcomes. •      Plan and coordinate 'Train the Trainer' sessions, instructional design and LMS coordination to reach all learner segments. •      Oversee the implementation of training plans to ensure timely and efficient delivery meeting project targets and indicators  •      Provide technical inputs to/ during planning, organising and coordination of project monitoring processes, assessments, surveys, research and evaluations •      Develop and submit activity plans in time for review and prior to implementation. •      Lead the creation and delivery of training programs, including workshops, e -learning modules, seminars, and hands -on training sessions.  •      Develop and manage training delivery schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to achieve milestones efficiently. •      Identify and mitigate risks in training delivery to ensure objectives are met on time and within scope. Performance Evaluation & Feedback: •      Design and implement systems to assess the effectiveness of training programs, including post -training evaluations, feedback mechanisms, and performance tracking.  •      Collaborate with M&E teams to track training outcomes, gather participant feedback, and ensure continuous program improvement. •      Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to training and development, such as engagement, completion rates, and skill improvements. •      Regularly evaluate and refine learning programs based on feedback and evolving project needs.  •      Ensure that training outcomes are met and that the learning interventions contribute to the success of the project. •      Prepare detailed progress reports and present updates to project stakeholders, donors, and leadership teams. Stakeholder Management: •      Maintain strong communication with internal project stakeholders to ensure alignment between training objectives and project deliverables. •      Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders in public and private sector institutions, community -based organizations, and other collaborating partners. •      Facilitate partnerships to expand training reach and efficacy of delivery to contribute to smooth transition pathways for project participants into employment. A Master's degree or relevant certifications is a plus. •      Strong background in curriculum development, adult learning principles, and instructional design. •      Familiarity with employability skills training, digital skilling, and competency -based training models  highly preferred. •      Strong ability to assess learning needs, design training programs, and deliver effective learning solutions. •      Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. •      Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously. •      Ability to evaluate training effectiveness and make data -driven improvements. •      Experience with blended learning approaches (in -person, online, and hybrid formats). •      Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
