Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant located in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Accountant will be responsible for performing day-to-day financial operations, including managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Additional responsibilities include assisting in budget preparation, forecasting, and supporting audit processes. Collaboration with other departments to ensure accurate financial data reporting is also required.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting
  • Proficiency in using accounting and financial management software
  • Data analysis skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) or progress toward certification is advantageous
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Familiarity with Kenyan tax regulations and financial compliance requirements is a plus
