CGCOC Group Co. Ltd, in Joint Venture with Beijing Urban Construction Group Co. Ltd and Beijing Heshuntong Municipal Engineering Co. Ltd, has been awarded the contract for the "Construction Works for Rehabilitation of Central Nairobi Area Water Network." The project is located within Nairobi's Central Business District and Central Industrial Area and is being implemented under the Athi Water Works Development Agency (AWWDA).

Job Summery

Under the overall guidance of the Contractor and in line with the policies and procedures of the Group, the 
AutoCAD Expert

will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and maintaining technical drawings and designs for the rehabilitation of the Central Nairobi Area Water Network. The role involves producing accurate 2D/3D drawings, supporting design coordination, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project specifications. The AutoCAD Expert will work closely with engineers and project teams to facilitate efficient execution of works, timely delivery of design outputs, and proper documentation in line with contractual and client requirements.

Detail Duties

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare detailed 
    2D/3D AutoCAD drawings
     for water supply networks, pipelines, and related civil works.
  2. Interpret 
    engineering designs and specifications
     into accurate construction drawings.
  3. Collaborate with project engineers, surveyors, and site teams to ensure design alignment with field conditions.
  4. Update and revise drawings based on design changes, client feedback, and site instructions.
  5. Maintain organized drawing records and ensure compliance with 
    AWWDA and project standards
    .
  6. Support preparation of 
    as-built drawings
     upon project completion.
  7. Ensure drafting work complies with 
    quality, safety, and environmental (ESHS) standards
    .

Employee Qualification & Requirement

  1. BSc. in Engineering Drafting / AutoCAD, Higher National Diploma, or equivalent certification.
  2. Minimum 
    8 years of total professional experience
    .
  3. At least 
    4 years of relevant experience in water works or infrastructure projects
    .

Other Requirements:

  • Familiarity with FIDIC contract conditions is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
