About The Role
You'll be working in the
Investment Bank IT (Agency Trading – Algos Crew)
team in Pune. Our team manages global applications providing oversight, support, analysis, and solutions that implement a strategic architecture.

This position is for a
Java Developer
to join the Agency Trading – Algos team, contributing to the existing low-latency trading platform and playing a key role in the build-out of our strategic middle office solution using our proprietary state-of-the-art low-latency framework.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, low-latency Java applications for trading and middle-office systems.
  • Implement multithreaded and concurrent programming solutions ensuring optimal performance.
  • Apply data structures and algorithms to solve complex system design and optimization problems.
  • Work with market data, order management, and reference/static data systems.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze system behavior, and provide effective technical solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software engineering practices.
  • Provide L3 support and production oversight for critical trading systems when required.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4–10 years of hands-on development experience in Core Java (Java 8+), multithreading, concurrency, and low-latency systems.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux, shell scripting, and performance tuning.
  • Solid understanding of database concepts (preferably Oracle).
  • Exposure to reference data systems and market data integration.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience/knowledge of cash equities and futures front/middle office.
  • Understanding of order management systems in an Investment Banking environment.
  • Prior experience with low-latency frameworks or trading systems.
