Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Elementary Montessori Teacher in Nairobi County, Kenya. The teacher will be responsible for creating and implementing an inquiry / Montessori-based curriculum, facilitating self-directed learning, guiding collaborative activities, and fostering a nurturing and hands on Christ centered classroom environment. Additional responsibilities include ongoing communication with students, parents, and staff, as well as contributing to the school's community and values.

Qualifications

  • Curriculum Development and Teaching skills
  • Experience in Elementary Education
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Knowledge and application of Education principles
  • Certified in Montessori teaching methods is a plus
  • Experience working in an international school community is a plus
  • Experience woring with the Montessori Method, inquiry based curriculums, PYP and American curriculums is desired
  • Ability to work in an inclusive, international Christian school community
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field
