PositionTitle: Loader, Operations Location: Nairobi Industry: LogisticsReportingTo: Operations Supervisor PROFILEINTRODUCTIONStratostaffEA Ltd is a leading provider of FlexibleStaffing Solutions, with over a decade of in -depth experiencein the design, implementation, and management of workforce solutions for SMEs,large corporations, and multinational organizations.Weare currently seeking to recruit a Loader,Operations on behalf of our client, a premier logisticscompany specializing in world -classlogistics solutions for perishables, including fresh -cutflowers, herbs, cuttings, produce, and fruits, across key international tradelanes.  KEY RESPONSIBLITIES     1.    Trucks offloading:o   Ensure to board the delivery trucks safely before the offloadingprocess startso   Follow the offloading instructions given on shipments offloadingfrom the truck.o   Stacking of boxes on skids per shipment for correct placing in thecold -stores duringo   Cleaning of airline equipment's (ULDs) before they enter the cold -stores.o   Assist in moving the Shipments and Airline equipment's (ULDs) throughthe cold -stores.o   Adhere to all PPE requirements,health and safety SOPs of the working place. 2.    Cargo builds up /Palletization:o   Stacking the boxes on airline equipment's (ULDs) in accordance toa contour.o   Application and tighten the buildup units (BUPs) nets.o   Assist in movement of buildup units (BUPs) through the cold -storesas directed.o   Handle all the working tools with utmost care.o   Reports any irregularity of shipments and or equipment to theSupervisor.o   Retrieve and correct folding and storage of all pallet covers.o   Keeps the workplace clean and tidy and assist in the Cold storewhere needed.o   Adheres to all PPE requirements, health and safety SOPs of theworking place.o   Any other relevant duties as may beassigned by the team leaders 3.    Cargo dispatch /Push outso   Assist in movement of buildup units (BUPs) to the dispatchsections as directed.o   Ensure application and tightening of all the airline equipment's(ULDs) nets.o   Pallet covers application on all units leaving the warehouse.o   Retrieve and correct folding and storage of all pallet coversafter flights loading.o   Keeps the workplace clean and tidy and assist in the Cold storewhere needed.o   Adheres to all PPE requirements, health and safety SOPs of theworking place.o   Any other relevant duties as may beassigned by the team leaders Requirements1.    Academic Qualifications;o   KCSECertificateo   Additionaltraining or certification in logistics, warehousing, or forklift operation isan added advantage.2.    Experience;o   Minimum 1–2 years' experience in a similar role within alogistics, warehouse, or cold chain environment.o   Experiencehandling perishable goods (e.g., flowers,produce, fruits) is highly desirable.3.    Technical Skills;o   Basicunderstanding of cargo handling procedures andpalletization.o   Familiaritywith ULD (Unit Load Devices) and airline cargo handlingequipment.o   Abilityto use manual handling tools and basic machinery safely.o   Knowledgeof cold chain operations is an asset.4.    Physical Requirements:o   Abilityto lift, move, and stack heavy boxes.o   Comfortableworking in cold environments (refrigerated warehouses or loading bays).o   Physicallyfit and able to stand or walk for extended periods.5.    Behavioral Competencies:o   Attention to detail and a strong sense of safetyand hygiene.o   Goodcommunication and teamwork skills.o   Flexibleo   Highlevel of discipline, reliability, and punctuality.6.    Compliance:o   Mustpossess a valid Certificate of Good Conduct.o   Abilityto follow all health, safety, and security protocols.
