The Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Property Inspector / Engineer to conduct thorough property evaluations, identify structural and systems issues, and deliver clear, professional reports to guide our clients' investment decisions. Your work will give property investors, homeowners, and tenants peace of mind by ensuring properties meet safety, compliance, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspections of built properties for pre-purchase or pre-sale, move in/out.
- Assess structural components, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, finishes, and compliance.
- Identify defects, mold, risks, and urgent repairs with photographic documentation.
- Prepare comprehensive inspection reports with recommendations and risk ratings.
- Advise clients on potential costs, safety concerns, and areas of improvement.
Requirements
- Experience in property inspection, construction, or facilities management.
- Knowledge of local building codes and standards.
- Strong attention to detail and report-writing skills.
- Self-motivated, customer-focused, and based in (or able to travel within) Nairobi.
Preferred
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Architecture, or related field.
- Certification in property inspection/building assessment (added advantage).
- 2+ years' relevant experience.
