Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Physics, Laboratory Technology, Applied Sciences, or related fields.
- Experience working in a school laboratory or scientific environment is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of physics concepts and laboratory procedures.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety standards and emergency procedures.
- Ability to maintain and troubleshoot scientific equipment.
- Competence in record-keeping and inventory management
- At least three years of experience.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proactive approach to safety and problem-solving.
- Ability to work effectively with teachers and students.
- Reliability, integrity, and professionalism.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

Role Summary.
The Physics Laboratory Technician is to support the delivery of high-quality physics education. The role involves preparing laboratory equipment and materials, ensuring safety standards are met, and supporting teachers in practical lessons for the students.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare laboratory apparatus, chemicals, and materials for physics practical lessons.
- Set up, test, and dismantle equipment before and after experiments.
- Maintain accurate inventories of equipment, tools, and consumables.
- Ensure all laboratory activities comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-functioning laboratory environment.
- Inspect, repair, and calibrate physics equipment regularly.
- Provide technical support to teachers during demonstrations and practical sessions.
- Guide students on safe handling of equipment during practical work.
- Manage proper storage and labeling of materials and apparatus.
- Assist in developing and improving lab procedures and practical activities.
