Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Water Engineer located in Nairobi. The Water Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining water and wastewater infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include planning and managing water supply and distribution systems, overseeing the construction of water treatment plants, and ensuring the efficient operation of pump stations. The Water Engineer will also collaborate with other engineers, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Wastewater Treatment and Water Treatment
  • Expertise in Water Supply and Water Distribution systems
  • Knowledge and experience in the operation and maintenance of Pump Stations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus
  • Experience working in the water management industry is beneficial
