AfricaPay International Ltd is looking for a Card Specialist for a leading Bank. The role requires a minimum of 10-12 years of proven expertise in the card payment industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work on pioneering solutions in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development:

· Spearhead new card product design and improvements

· Collaborate with teams to enhance the product customer value proposition (CVP)

· Oversee the rollout and market introduction of new card products

Technical Expertise

· Engage with vendors covering card management systems, switches, and processors

· Offer technical guidance on card applications and processing platforms

· Partner with internal teams to streamline operational workflows in the card business

Operations Oversight

· Provide support in troubleshooting and resolving card-related operational challenges

· Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements

Business Growth

· Drive card activation, customer usage, and retention initiatives

· Formulate and implement strategies to improve card portfolio profitability

· Track and evaluate card performance metrics to support business objectives

Additional Duties

·   Undertake other tasks vital for the success of the card portfolio

·   Keep abreast of market trends, innovations, and best practices to foster continuous improvement

Experience & Knowledge

· 10–12 years of professional experience in card payments

· Demonstrated leadership in managing multi-disciplinary card teams

· Skilled in managing third-party vendors and partners

· Strong understanding of banking operations and local regulatory environment

Core Competencies

· In-depth expertise in card business operations within a banking framework

· Advanced technical knowledge of card processing systems
