Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programmer, based in Nairobi.

The role holder will be required to program and set turret punching machines, robotic operations.

The CNC Programmer will be responsible for;

  1. Developing and optimizing CNC programs,
  2. Interpreting technical drawings,
  3. Performing machining tasks, and operating milling equipment.
  4. Day-to-day activities include selecting appropriate tools,
  5. Reviewing machine operation processes,
  6. Ensuring precision in production, and collaborating with the manufacturing team to meet production goals effectively.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in CNC Programming and general Programming
  • Strong understanding of Technical Drawing and the ability to interpret engineering designs
  • Hands-on experience in Machining and Milling techniques
  • Understanding if G codes M codes, etc
  • Attention to detail and an emphasis on accuracy in the production process
  • Problem-solving abilities and a commitment to meeting project deadlines
  • Prior experience in a similar role and knowledge of safety standards is an advantage

Education and experience

  • Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related fields
  • Minimum 1 year experience

Salary scale, 30k to 35k gross depending on experience
