Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Nairobi County, Kenya, with the flexibility for some remote work. As a Credit Manager, you will oversee the credit application and approval process to ensure sound credit risk management practices. Your daily responsibilities will include assessing credit applications, analyzing financial data, formulating credit strategies, collaborating with lending partners, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. You will also implement and refine policies to maintain portfolio quality while providing exceptional customer service to students and lending partners.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Credit Management and Credit Risk Management practices
  • Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate financial and credit information
  • Knowledge of Finance and Credit principles, including loan structuring
  • Ability to make data-informed decisions and recommend credit strategies
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in credit or financial analysis roles, preferably in the education financing sector
  • Familiarity with international lending practices and regulatory requirements is an advantage
