Averix Group is seeking a certified
Outdoor Instructor
with proven capability in
curriculum design, program packaging
, and
field operations management
to lead the
Veld Trails Program.
This role demands both on-ground leadership and behind-the-scenes strategic oversight — from developing outdoor learning modules to executing immersive, safety-first training experiences.

You will be responsible for shaping the next evolution of outdoor instruction under Averix's five core modules, ensuring our programs remain industry-leading, practical, and transformative.

**Key Responsibilities

Program Coordination & Execution**

• Plan, coordinate, and implement all Veld Trails field activities.


• Supervise instructors and support staff to ensure seamless program delivery and adherence to Averix training standards.


• Maintain discipline, safety, and professionalism across all operations.

Curriculum Design & Development

• Design and refine training curricula for outdoor education aligned with Averix's five Veld Trails modules.


• Develop modular training packages, participant handbooks, and instructional guides for internal and public programs.


• Integrate experiential learning, assessment frameworks, and tactical skill outcomes into course content.


• Continuously benchmark Averix programs against global outdoor education standards.

Operational & Resource Management

• Oversee logistics including gear allocation, campsite setup, and field route planning.


• Manage budgets, resources, and equipment inventory tied to program operations.


• Conduct risk assessments, implement emergency response protocols, and maintain compliance with safety regulations.

Strategic Development & Reporting

• Support Averix's Training Department in expanding the Veld Trails brand through partnerships, certifications, and outreach initiatives.


• Evaluate program outcomes, prepare reports, and recommend data-driven improvements.


• Contribute to the development of new outdoor training products and experiences.

Qualifications


Certified Outdoor Instructor
in at least one of Averix's five modules (Wilderness Survival, Navigation or Wilderness First Aid).


• Minimum 3–5 years of field instruction, program coordination, or expedition management.


• Strong background in curriculum design, training package development, and instructional delivery.


• Proven leadership and team management experience in outdoor or tactical environments.


• Proficiency in risk management, emergency preparedness, and outdoor safety standards.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Advanced First Aid, WFR, or equivalent certification preferred.
