Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Research Microbiologist located in Nairobi. The Research Microbiologist will conduct laboratory-based research, ensuring proper use and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Responsibilities will include the implementation of quality control and quality assurance protocols to guarantee accuracy and reliability in experiments. The role involves producing high-quality research outputs related to microbiological studies, contributing to health, agriculture, and environmental solutions, and maintaining compliance with safety standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Laboratory Skills, including experimental procedures and techniques
• Experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes
• Knowledge of Microbiology principles and methodologies
• Familiarity with the proper use and maintenance of Laboratory Equipment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field
• Experience in research for health or agricultural applications is a plus
