Speedy Chui Africa Limited is a smart logistics company deploying an advanced 
locker-based delivery network
 across Kenya. As part of our aggressive technology rollout, we are integrating with leading e-commerce platforms, deploying Automated Parcel Machines (APMs), and building a robust digital backbone (microservices, ERP integration, and customer portals).

We are seeking a talented 
React JS Developer
 to join our ICT team in Nairobi. DevOps experience (particularly Kubernetes and containerized environments) will be considered a significant advantage as we scale our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain the 
    Customer Portal
     and supporting front-end interfaces using 
    React JS
    .
  2. Work closely with backend developers (Java Spring Boot, PostgreSQL) to integrate APIs and ensure seamless customer workflows.
  3. Translate design wireframes (UI/UX) into high-quality, responsive, and accessible code.
  4. Optimize web applications for 
    speed, performance, and scalability
    .
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (ICT, Operations, Partners) to deliver features on an iterative basis.
  6. Participate in 
    code reviews, testing, and documentation
    .
  7. (DevOps encouraged) Contribute to deployment pipelines, CI/CD workflows, and managed Kubernetes setup in collaboration with the DevOps/Infrastructure team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  1. Proven 
    React JS development experience
     with a strong portfolio of deployed applications.
  2. Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end build pipelines (Webpack, Babel).
  3. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and backend integration.
  4. Experience with version control (Git/GitHub) and agile development workflows.
  5. Understanding of responsive and mobile-first design principles.
  6. Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
  7. Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.

Preferred / Highly Encouraged Skills

  1. Experience with 
    DevOps tools
     (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
  2. Familiarity with cloud hosting environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, or local DCs with managed Kubernetes).
  3. Knowledge of PostgreSQL basics or database integration for front-end workflows.
  4. Security-conscious coding practices (authentication, data protection, OWASP).
