The
Data Scientist Delivery (DSD)
is responsible for the delivery, maintenance, and development of Vyntra's financial crime analytics implementations for its customer base.

This is a
transversal role
: the DSD participates in both the rituals of the Data Science team and selected activities of the Customer Success department, with which he/she actively develops strong collaboration and ties.

Work Location
: Nairobi, Kenya

What you will do

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Participate in delivery projects (implementations, proofs of concept, and proofs of value), possibly overseas and for extended periods of times.
  • React proactively to production incidents.
  • Monitor the analytical performance of Vyntra's FinCrime solution across the implemented customer base.
  • Contribute to R&D initiatives to enhance analytical performance for key customers.
  • Stay up to date with recent advances in AI/ML, as well as developments in fraud, financial crime, and AML domains.
  • Analyze requests from Professional Services Consultants and R&D Engineers and provide appropriate support.
  • Deliver training and coaching to Professional Services Consultants and R&D Engineers on existing analytical tools.
  • Identify, design, and implement analytical approaches, algorithms, and machine learning or predictive models to solve business problems.

Who you are

  • MSc in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • This is an entry-level position - no prior professional experience is required.
  • Experience developing production-ready code to prototype and build innovative solutions is a plus.
  • Experience in the banking industry is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Python and its data science libraries.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., Git) is a plus.
  • Highly proactive, self-driven, and solutions-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
