Role: To safeguard Kotani Pay's financial health by ensuring 100% tax compliance across our operating countries and providing finance support to drive efficient growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tax Compliance & Strategy: Manage all tax filings (VAT, CIT, WHT), payments, and audits across our African markets (e.g., Kenya, Ghana, South Africa). Proactively identify and implement tax efficiency opportunities.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in month/year-end closes. Prepare accurate, timely financial statements and management reports.
  • Regulatory Navigation: Monitor and interpret evolving tax and financial regulations in Africa. Advise on the financial impact of new market entries or products.
  • Process Improvement: Automate and streamline tax and finance workflows to reduce risk and free up resources for strategic analysis.
  • Reporting to the Head of Compliance, and Management.

Who You Are (Expectations):

  • 1+ years in tax/accounting with hands-on experience in
    multiple
    African tax jurisdictions. A relevant degree (Finance, Accounting) and CPA/ACCA (or equivalent) progress are preferred but not strictly required.
  • The Strategist: You see beyond compliance. You connect tax implications to business decisions and revenue protection.
  • The Doer: Meticulous with details, deadlines, and databases. You own processes from start to finish.
  • The Communicator: Can explain complex tax concepts to non-finance colleagues to drive company-wide understanding.
