Position Summary
The Future Pro – Project Manager will support NBA Kenya operations through administrative coordination, event logistics, and stakeholder engagement. This role includes assisting with the setup, execution, and reporting of key initiatives such as the Safaricom partnership and NBA Weekend. The Future Pro will contribute to marketing, content creation, community outreach, and operational support to ensure smooth execution of games and special events.

Major Responsibilities
Marketing & Content

• Support marketing campaigns and promotional activities
• Assist with content creation and storytelling for digital platforms
• Capture behind-the-scenes material and monitor fan engagement on social media

Business Development & Partnerships

• Conduct research and assist with partnership outreach
• Support sponsor activations, including signage, product distribution, and visibility
• Track sponsor exposure and compile activation reports

Event Operations

• Assist with venue setup, branding, and logistics before and during events
• Support accreditation processes for staff, media, and participants
• Coordinate transport and scheduling for teams, coaches, and officials

Guest Management & Community Engagement

• Assist with guest management at NBA/BAL events
• Support grassroots basketball programs and youth outreach initiatives
• Maintain relationships with schools, clubs, and community organizations

Data, Reporting & Administration

• Collect and report event metrics such as attendance and engagement
• Maintain databases of partners, guests, and media contacts
• Provide administrative support, including meeting prep, note-taking, and inventory management

Required Skills/Knowledge

• Fluent in English and Swahili
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
• Committed to timely reporting and clear communication

Experience Needed

• 2 years of postgraduate work experience in project management experience in business development, partner management, or strategy, relevant to the Kenyan market

Educational Background Required

• Higher education institution (vocational school, professional degree, university degree, or master's degree) in related field
