JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION OPERATORAbout This Job:Q -SourcingLimited trading as Q -Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firmoperating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya,Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.On behalf ofour client, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Production Operator to work in Nairobi, KenyaJob Summary:Thejobholder uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts and is responsible forfeeding raw materials into operating machines, making minor repairs, replacingparts, and testing finished materials for compliance while adhering to setquality control standards.DUTIES& RESPONSIBILITIES:· Assembling smartphones on the assemblyline according to drawings, instructions, or schematics.· Loading product pieces slated forassembly onto the line and packing assembled products into boxes for storage.· Inspecting assembled finished goodsand troubleshooting any issues found during production for any faults ordefects.· Reporting incidents, faultyoperations, or product imperfections on the assembly line to the supervisor.· Ensure that equipment is maintained ingood and safe working condition.· Contribute to waste managementprograms aimed at zero defects.· Champions and practices 6S Kaizenprinciples· Following established safety andefficiency procedures to ensure that operations run smoothly.· Identify and report unsafe operationsto the Supervisor immediately.· Maintain the work area clean, safe,and organized.· Work under the guidance of asupervisor to perform and complete the assigned duties on time.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:· Relevant Diploma or equivalentqualification.· Knowledge in Electrical andElectronics Engineering is an added advantage.· Good computer and IT skills.· At least 6 months to 1 year of workexperience with working in an assembly line being an added advantage.· Good knowledge of Kaizen 6SPrinciples.· Understanding of production machineryand proper assembly procedures.· Excellent knowledge of safetyprotocols and regulations.· Fast learner with the ability to workunder pressure in a fast -paced environment.· Good physical stamina and the abilityto lift heavy pieces of equipment, as well as stand for hours at a time.· Excellent time management skills andability to work in a team.· Exceptional work ethic and integrity.Interestedand qualified applicants should submit their applications through the linkbelow. Note:Only shortlisted applicants will becontacted.Q -SOURCING SERVTEC IS AN EQUALOPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
