We are hiring an Human Resources Specialist
Brookhill Projects Limited is a design-and-build contractor delivering residential and commercial projects in Kenya. We are looking for someone to own our people function properly, reporting directly to the Directors.
What you will own
Complete, confidential staff files and compliance with Kenyan employment law
Payroll inputs verified and submitted by the 26th, including project allocation and consultant invoices
Leave tracked and reported monthly, with balances visible to managers before they approve
Two documented performance reviews per person per year, with time-bound improvement plans where needed
Grievances, discipline and exits handled fairly, quickly and to the letter of the Employment Act
Policies, handbook and templates kept current and actually adopted
Recruitment through to signed contract, with every hire fully documented by their start date
A monthly HR report to the Directors with a recommendation attached
Who we are looking forSomeone who speaks directly. You will sometimes have to hold a position that is unpopular with staff and defend it clearly, and sometimes have to tell a Director something they do not want to hear. Both matter equally.

RequirementsDegree or diploma in HRM, Business Administration or related. 2–4 years in a generalist HR, HR Officer or People Operations role. Working knowledge of Kenyan employment law and statutory requirements. Hands-on payroll support, leave administration, disciplinary process and performance management.
