Field Service Technician

- Our client is a supplier, agent, and manufacturer of industrial printers including Videojet printers or coders. They are based in South Africa and launching in Kenya. They are looking to hire technicians.
- The ideal candidate should have the requisite technical skills and be customer service driven, able to maintain strong client relations. There will be some aspect of local travel involved.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- The technician will be responsible for all the technical aspects of maintaining and installing the printers and coders as well as date coding onto FMCG goods.
Required Specifications
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience
- Matric & amp; N3 Electronics qualification
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics field or Higher National Diploma in an engineering-related field with at least 5-7 years of demonstrable experience
- Should have a valid driver’s license with 5 years driving experience
- Must have basic hand tool skills, able to operate electrical measuring tools and related diagnostic equipment and tools
- Ability to fault find, repair, service & install equipment within stipulated manufacturer's guidelines and timings
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external customers
- Work environment will mainly be manufacturing plants, factories, packaging plants etc
- Previous experience in handling and maintaining printing machines will be an advantage
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office experience and good report-writing skills are required
