Plant Manager – Power Generation at Summit Recruitment and Search

Summit Recruitment & Search was established in 2009 to address the recruitment, mass recruitment, executive search, outsourcing and training needs of companies based in Kenya or wanting to enter the Kenyan, East African, South African and African market.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day to day operations of the biomass facility, ensuring optimal performance and output.
Coordinate and manage maintenance teams to ensure regular upkeep and preventive maintenance of equipment.
Monitor and optimize biomass stock logistics and handling process.
Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with permits and regulations.
Troubleshoot and address operational issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
Track and analyze operational data to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Maintain a working relationship with KPLC and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Ideally have at least five years of experience of working with boilers and/or in an electricity generation plant – experience with Turbines will be an added advantage.
Technical knowledge of boiler systems and/or power generation.
Commitment to safety and environmental sustainability.
Management experience with excellent leadership and communication skills.
