JOB SUMMARY

You're good at:Understanding complex content and business priorities and developing content plansOrganising, structuring and planning the year aheadAnalysing performance data and sharing relevant metrics to improve performanceExecuting events independently and identifying strategic opportunities for visibility and presenceManaging multiple projects in parallel in a fast-paced environmentUnderstanding what content appeals to employees and clients and what channels are best used to communicate these messagesCommunicating, moderating, and networkingInfluencing, and relationship building skills, especially of senior stakeholdersWritten and oral presentations with strong attention to detailYou Will Bring (qualifications, Experience & Skills)A marketing qualification / relevant undergraduate degree4 to 6 years of marketing and communications experience – preferably in consulting firms or a leading corporateA high level of proficiency in English – both written and oralProject management, complex problem structuring and solving experienceSharp analytical skills, leadership and complex program management skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

External & Client MarketingStrategy & analysisCurate a marketing strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders, identifying priority content aligned with local expertiseDevelop an appropriate go to market strategy to bolster BCG as a market leader in East AfricaConduct regular analysis of marketing metrics to assess performance and ROI, adjusting strategies as neededPrioritize content topics, conceptual planning and press activities aligned with local market sentiment and interestConduct market Research & Analysis: staying abreast of industry trends, competitor activities and market dynamicsEventsCurate exclusive and themed BCG client events, executing at the highest levelIdentify strategically aligned events for BCG to attend and/or sponsor locally and across AfricaMedia, branding & collateralBuild a best-in-class suite of marketing & communication materials and outreach programmes for BCG’s clients to strengthen client relationsDrive and manage BCG’s social media channels as well as those of key leadershipEnsure brand management with coherent content in adherence to brand guidelinesDevelop, organize and maintain marketing collateral assets, including photograph libraries, video content and branded merchandiseOperationsSupport the Head of Africa for marketing and communications on Africa projects and operational structure builds and systemsCollaborate across Africa system on planning, Africa and global events, amplifying content and performance measurementTrack and plan against set budget, forecast future budget requirementsManage supplier contracts and marketing related vendor relationshipsDevelop and maintain the client contact database in CRM and improve usage by the leadership group and their executive assistantsWork with the Alumni partner to develop and implement an integrated engagement programme for local alumni networks and the Africa systemCollaborate closely with Recruiting and Finance teams
