About the role:
Roam is seeking a skilled software developer to join our software build team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the success of the team.
Key Duties and responsibilities

Lead the development of complex software solutions from conception to delivery.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.
Design and implement scalable and maintainable software architectures.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes, including adherence to Agile methodologies

Qualifications and experience

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in SDLC and a background in development for web, cross platform mobile apps, cloud computing, and/or DevOps is a plus.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, C++, or Rust, as well as development stacks like MERN or T3, and experience with databases such as MongoDB and MySQL.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Familiarity with software development tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and best practices.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to using common collaboration tools like Slack, Jira/ClickUp, and Liveshare
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Adaptability and interest to learn and stay updated with new technologies.
Experience with web development, mobile app development, or cloud computing.
