ABOUT THE COMPANY
Isiolo County is located in the Upper Eastern Region of Kenya and is one of the Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASALs) in Northern Kenya covering approximately 25,700 square kilometers. Given its huge size, the county borders Meru and Tharaka Nithi Counties to the South West, Marsabit County to the North, Samburu and Laikipia Counties to the West, Garissa County to the South East, Wajir County to the North East and Tana River and Kitui Counties to the South. The County has a population of 268,002 and its economic mainstay is pastoralism but blended with crop farming, beekeeping, and recently fish farming.
JOB SUMMARY
An officer at this level will be deployed in the County to coordinate activities in one of the following areas; crop production, land development, agricultural extension and project management. Further, duties and responsibilities will entail management of information desks within the County.Requirements for appointmentFor appointment to this grade,A candidate must have a Bachelor of science degree in any of the following fields; food science, home economics, agriculture, horticulture, agriculture economics, natural resource management, agribusiness, agricultural extension, agricultural education or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from recognized institution.
