ABOUT THE COMPANY

The State Department for Parliamentary Affairs was created by the Executive Order No.1 of January, 2023. It draws its mandate from the Executive Order No.2 of November, 2023 on Organization of the Government of the Republic of Kenya with the key mandate being to coordinate the implementation of the National Government’s legislative agenda across all Ministries and State Departments in consultation with, and for transmission to, the Party/Coalition Leadership in Parliamen

JOB SUMMARY

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must: -Have served in the grade of Senior Legislative Affairs Officer or a comparable and relevant position in the Public Service for a minimum period of one (1) year;Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution;Have a Post-graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law;Have been admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with at least one (1) year post-admission experience;Have Certificate in Senior Management Course (SMC) lasting for at least four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;Be proficient in computer application skills; andHas shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
