Key Qualifications and Experience

Must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering /higher degree from accredited university/college.
Should have relevant Professional registration (or in the process of obtaining)
Must have at least a Minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
Should have a postgraduate degree in a related field (not essential but preferable)
Must know QA and OHS requirements in SMEC.
Must have strong project management skills, including working experience, and be highly proficient in MS project and commercial aspects of project management.
Should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills (reporting, emails, letters, …) and a good command of English, additional Languages will be an added advantage.
Must have the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Must have the ability to make technical decisions that are outcome-driven.
Must have practical knowledge of hydraulics hydrological principles.
Must have the ability to write programs (Python, C, …) or MS Excel macros.
Proficient in the use of MS Office suite (including MS Project)
Co-operative and flexible work style to work in a team environment.
Valid Driver’s Licence (light motor vehicle)
Experience working in several African countries will be an added advantage.
Should have proven technical experience in relevant infrastructure projects (dams/hydropower/water industry) is required.
Should have experience and good capability in using CAD design software (REVIT, Civil3D,)
Must have Knowledge and experience of cloud-based software packages such as Autodesk Construction BIM platforms to integrate technical delivery teams in different geographic locations.
