BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian organization, saving lives in emergencies, building prosperity and supporting a sustainable future for people recovering from conflict, natural disasters and the impact of climate change. In light of the continuation of a regional corporate scale up for Sudan and the famine confirmation there is increased media and public attention, more attention and pressure for WFP visibility on social media channels, higher demand for donor visibility and communications, and a pressing need to communicate more with the general Sudanese public and our beneficiaries to counter disinformation.
