This position is responsible for working remotely to dispatch drivers to find loads. Also

boards and personal connections to locate freight that needs to be shipped, speaking to
brokers, conducting negotiations, and eventually dispatching drivers and setting up their routes.
Essential Duties
Operate safely and compliance with all established HSSE policies and procedures
Responsible for the routing, scheduling and dispatching of drivers, equipment and
freight loads going out daily/nightly and reporting activities to the Operations group
Ensure that all containers are received and tripped into system
Provides excellent customer service on the phone and when arranging for pickups and delivers.
Communicates with dispatch at various customer sites to coordinate the
movement of freight
Support the safe operation of all trucks, drivers and related trucking operations
Perform administrative functions such as printing delivery receipts, manifest
shipments for trailers, create freight bills, trace shipments, etc.
Support full compliance with all federal and state transportation safety regulations,
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certifications)
Certificate or Diploma in relevant field from an accredited institution
Two to three years of transportation/dispatch experience
Good English command with an American accent
Competent customer care skills
Previous experience in logistics and secretarial duties (Typing & use of office
equipment)
Willing to overnight (2 pm – 11 pm EAT) and any required overtime.
Ability to resolve a variety of issues of fairly non–routine
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Sound understanding of DOT regulations, HazMat and OTR experience preferred
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite including Word, Outlook and Excel
Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize and exhibit team players attitude
High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
Demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy
Basic use of mathematical applications
Excellent customer service skills
Treats people with respect, keeps commitments, inspires trust in others, works
with integrity and ethically; upholds organizational values.
Working Environment
The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those
that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this
position.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard
office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other
office related devices. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and in
a generally hazard free environment.
