Job Purpose:

As a Lead Android Developer, you will have a central role in driving the ongoing development and innovation of "Equity Mobile." Your leadership will be key in shaping the path of the application, ensuring exceptional user experiences, and maintaining high standards in code quality, security, and performance. Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
  • Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Android developers, establishing the technical direction and fostering a culture of excellence and continual enhancement.
  • Architectural Design: Develop and implement scalable and resilient software architectures, making critical decisions that impact the application's long-term success.
  • Code Development: Create and review clean, efficient, and sustainable code in Java and/or Kotlin, following industry best practices, design patterns, and architectural principles.
  • Feature Development: Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and interdisciplinary teams to conceive and deploy new features, enhancements, and refinements.
  • Quality Assurance: Supervise and ensure thorough testing, encompassing unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to sustain the application's dependability and performance.
  • Bug Resolution: Address and solve intricate technical issues and bugs promptly, preserving the application's integrity.
  • Mentorship and Development: Offer guidance, coaching, and career growth prospects to team members, fostering a culture of knowledge exchange and advancement.
  • Documentation: Uphold comprehensive documentation for code, development processes, and technical specifications.
  • Security and Compliance: Certify that the Equity Mobile application aligns with security standards and practices, shielding customer data and privacy.
Job Qualifications:

The Lead Android Developer position necessitates the following qualifications:

  • Extensive expertise in Android app development, with a proficient command of Java and/or Kotlin programming languages.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Demonstrated track record of effectively delivering and upholding Android applications with intricate features.
  • Exceptional comprehension of software development methodologies, architectural design, and best practices.
  • Robust leadership aptitudes with a proven capability to lead and motivate a development team.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a collaborative and problem-solving mindset.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Understanding of mobile UI/UX design principles and usability best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior involvement in financial or banking applications.
  • Contributions to open-source Android projects.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
