Cardiovascular Nurse

Job Description

The successful candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, a strong understanding of cardiovascular diseases, and the ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams. The role involves conducting thorough patient assessments, monitoring vital signs, and developing individualized care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients with cardiovascular diseases.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and cardiac rhythms.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications as prescribed and educate patients about their medications.
• Provide education to patients and families about heart health and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Respond to cardiac emergencies and perform CPR as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Requirements:

• Valid BLS and ACLS Certification.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Diploma in Community Health Nursing (KRCHN).
• Higher Diploma qualification in Critical Care.
• At least 3 years working experience in Cath-lab post basic qualification.
• Registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya.
• Valid practicing license with the Nursing Council.
• Certification in cardiovascular nursing (e.g., CCRN, CVRN) is preferred.
