Cardiovascular Nurse

Cardiovascular Nurse at Avenue Hospital: Provide comprehensive care to patients with cardiovascular diseases, assisting in prevention, assessment, diagnosis, and management of heart-related conditions.

The cardiovascular nurse will work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care, utilizing their expertise to develop and implement individualized care plans based on patients' needs and diagnoses.

• Conduct thorough assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations, to identify cardiovascular issues.
• Regularly monitor patients' vital signs and cardiac rhythms, utilizing telemetry and other monitoring equipment.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patients' needs and diagnoses.
• Administer medications as prescribed, educating patients about their medications and potential side effects.
• Provide education to patients and families about heart health, lifestyle modifications, and disease management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Respond to cardiac emergencies, performing CPR and using advanced life support techniques when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

• Valid BLS and ACLS Certification.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing/ Diploma in Community Health Nursing (KRCHN).
• Higher Diploma qualification in Critical Care.
• At least 3 years working experience in Cath-lab post basic qualification.
• Registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya.
• Valid practicing license with the Nursing Council.
• Certification in cardiovascular nursing (e.g., CCRN, CVRN) is preferred.
