About the jobWe are looking for a development oriented and proactive Accountant to join Tramigo's team in Nairobi-Kenya.

Tramigo offers you versatile responsibilities, experienced colleagues to mentor you and the opportunity to take part in process development.As Accountant, you'll work closely with Tramigo's Business Controller and the financial teams of Tramigo's subsidiaries globally, so we're looking for someone with great collaboration and English skills.
Although this is a junior position, we highly appreciate your ability to work independently, problem solving skills and can-do attitude.
Tramigo's small, yet experienced team will support you in your responsibilities, but the ability to lead your own performance is an essential asset for your success in this position.
Key responsibilities:
Prepare all necessary financial documents such as bills, invoices, purchase orders in Odoo.
Prepare and make follow up on recurring invoices.
Handle tax payments and filing in KRA portals.
Maintain accurate accounting records for future references.
Ensure financial records comply with company policies and procedures.
Monitor accounting errors or discrepancies and suggest necessary corrective action.
Perform month-end and year-end close activities such as account reconciliations, inventory count, moth-end, and year-end reports etc.
Assist in preparing necessary documentation for annual financial audits.
Support other teams in accounting activities and respond to accounting related questions and inquiries from employees.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Education and experience requirements
A bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
Proven 3 years work experience in finance or accounting role.
Previous experience with Odoo or other ERP-systems

Advanced skills with Excel and the ability to pick up new tools quickly.
