JOB SUMMARY

  • The Senior Program Manager (SPM) will oversee all program aspects of TDDAP2, including management, compliance, and financial requirements. They will also supervise an operations and finance team. Acting as the primary contact for FCDO, they will handle program and financial management issues, risk management, asset management, delivery chain mapping, contract management, reporting, governance, and compliance.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business administration/management, social sciences, international development, or related fields.
  • Minimum 12-15 years of program management experience in large consortia, preferably with FCDO contracts.
  • Experience in managing multi-country projects.
  • Proven project management expertise in areas such as global health security, infectious disease, disease surveillance, or health systems strengthening.
  • Demonstrated skills in project scoping, planning, risk management, and financial management.
  • Strong track record in project reporting, consultation, negotiation, and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products and project management software.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with partners, communities, officials, and donors.
  • Experience in working across diverse cultures and managing teams effectively.
  • Proficient in tight deadline management and high-quality work delivery.
  • Authorization to work in Kenya.
  • Preferred: Project management certification and Master's degree in a relevant field.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage day-to-day program activities, reporting, compliance, and finances.
  • Coordinate overall program activities and serve as the main FCDO contact for management and reporting.
  • Lead planning and implementation of program activities with a focus on operational plans and budgets.
  • Supervise a diverse team handling project management, administration, and finance.
  • Work with the Team Leader to identify and mitigate program risks.
  • Ensure compliance with UK Government and TDDAP2 country Governments' regulations and policies.
  • Develop strong relationships with partner organizations.
  • Collaborate with FHI 360 staff to ensure project alignment with industry best practices and regulations.
  • Ensure timely reporting and oversee HR functions including recruitment and performance management.
