JOB SUMMARY

  • Jhpiego is in need of a proficient qualitative research transcription service provider to accurately transcribe audio recordings of interviews and focus group discussions. These recordings are part of a research project evaluating the feasibility and acceptability of broadening the range of drugs and strategies for preventing and treating postpartum haemorrhage in Makueni County.

Required Qualifications

  • The transcription and translation team should possess:
    • Bachelor's degree in public health, social sciences, community health, or a related field
    • Proficiency in ICT
    • Prior experience in transcription and translation
    • Minimum of three years of expertise in providing verbatim transcriptions of Key Informant Interviews (KIIs), In-depth Interviews (IDIs), and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs)
    • Familiarity with Maternal Health (an added advantage)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce accurate English transcripts of interviews and focus group discussions conducted in English, Swahili, or Kamba languages
  • Verify the quality and accuracy of transcriptions
  • Ensure compliance with approved study protocols for data transfer, management, and confidentiality
  • Submit all audio recordings and transcripts to Jhpiego upon completion of the assignment
