The Cloud Solution Engineer will collaborate with customers, sales, engineering, and product teams to design, demonstrate, and deploy innovative Oracle Cloud solutions addressing customer business challenges. The main goal is to drive Oracle Cloud adoption by accelerating the utilization of cloud services through various stages including discovery, design, and deployment.

Responsibilities

The Cloud Solution Engineer role encompasses the following responsibilities:

  • Participate in customer engagements to collectively design and implement solutions.
  • Engage directly with customers to gather requirements, architect solutions, and align them with business objectives.
  • Implement solutions, ensuring successful deployments by developing code and scripting.
  • Showcase product/application expertise through tailored presentations to customers, conferences, and events.
  • Support customers throughout service deployment from Proof of Concept (POC) to production via resource configuration, planning, and customer education.
  • Create and share technical resources such as white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demos.
  • Act as a technical liaison for customers and sales regarding cloud solutions and customer success, enhancing both technical and business knowledge.
Minimum qualifications

The Cloud Solution Engineer must meet the following requirements:

  • 5 years of experience with computer applications and tools.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% internationally and domestically.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering from an accredited university;
    or equivalent technical experience of 5 years.
  • Proficiency in system and application design.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills along with interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in needs analysis, positioning, and business justification.
  • Problem-solving skills in technical environments when addressing customer issues.
