The Group has grown into a dynamic, rapidly developing pan-African micro-financier and insurer with operations in South Africa, Mauritius, Zambia, Ghana and Kenya.


Job Scope:


Reporting to the Head of SME, The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving growth and success in the branch.

He / She will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building a successful sales team, building, and nurturing relationships with clients, and developing strategies to expand our market presence.


Key Responsibilities:
Identify and research potential business opportunities and market trends.
Develop and implement effective business development strategies for the branch.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Conduct market analysis and competitor research
Negotiate and close deals to meet and exceed sales targets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery
Provide regular reports and updates to senior management

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business-related field
Proven history of success in a similar role, with 3+ years of working experience in a financial institution.
Strong understanding of the microfinance industry and market dynamics.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Initiative-taking and results-driven.
Willingness to travel as needed.
