About the Role:

As a Mid-Level accountant at Matrix Precast Concrete Ltd, you will play a vital role in maintaining our financial records, assisting with financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This Mid-level position provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field of accounting and grow within our organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Bookkeeping: Responsible for maintaining accurate financial records.

2. VAT (Value Added Tax) Compliance: Handling VAT-related tasks which includes working out VAT returns, and ensuring compliance with VAT regulations.

3. Invoicing, Payables and Receivables Management: Adhering to the credit policy, tracking and updating the AP and AR with a structured receivables reduction plan.

4. Payroll Processing: Managing the company's payroll.

5. Statutory Deductions: Deducting and remitting various statutory deductions, such as income tax, Social Security contributions, and pension fund contributions on behalf of employees.

6. Financial Reporting: Preparing financial statements and reports.

7. General Ledger Maintenance: Managing the general ledger.

8. Audit Support: Assisting with internal and external audits by providing the necessary documentation and explanations of financial transactions.

9. Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.

10. Financial Software: Proficiency in using accounting software and tools to streamline financial processes and maintain accurate records.

11. Communication: Collaborating with other departments and team members to gather financial information and provide financial insights when needed.

12. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

● CPA 3 and above or equivalent, Bachelors in Commerce will be an added advantage

● Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting

● Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

● Proficient in accounting software applications, such as QuickBooks or Sage

● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

● Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

● Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
