Biomedical Equipment Technician responsible for installing, maintaining, and servicing equipment to improve patient care quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install new equipment by establishing, adjusting, calibrating, and testing performance.
  • Maintain inventory of all equipment and analyzers.
  • Evaluate the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of equipment.
  • Provide technical support for equipment.
  • Participate in maintenance and servicing of equipment and analyzers.
  • Document information by maintaining and reviewing daily logs and equipment records.
  • Resolve technical problems and select corrective steps.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Ensure effective and efficient use of resources.
  • Assist and provide training to staff on unit systems and processes.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Ensure duty of care with respect to colleagues, patients, and organization.

Qualifications:

  • BSc in Biomedical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
  • Registered with Association of Medical Engineers of Kenya.
  • 2-3 years working experience.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications.
