JOB SUMMARY
The Export Manager will be responsible for promoting and managing the export of thecompany's textile products, including blankets, Masai Shukas & Kikoys, baby products,school & uniform knitwear, fashion knitwear, beddings, and yarns, within East Africa,Southern Africa, and Central Africa. The role requires a dynamic and experiencedprofessional with a proven track record in export sales, strong market knowledge, andexceptional strategic and negotiation skills.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in International Business, Marketing, Business Administration, or arelated field. A Master's degree is a plus.Minimum of 10 years of experience in export sales, preferably within the clothing / garment / textile or a manufacturing industry.Proven track record of successfully managing and growing export markets.Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and export documentation.Excellent strategic planning, negotiation, and communication skills.Ability to travel frequently within the East Africa, Southern Africa, and CentralAfrica regions.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
RESPONSIBILITIES
Market Development:Identify and develop new export markets in East Africa, Southern Africa, and CentralAfrica.Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, andcompetitive landscape.Develop and implement export strategies to achieve sales targets and expand marketpresence.Sales Management:Manage and grow existing export accounts, ensuring high levels of customersatisfaction.Identify potential clients and establish new business relationships.Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sale with clients and distributors.Compliance and Documentation:Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including export laws and documentation requirements.Prepare and manage all necessary export documentation, including invoices, shippingdocuments, and certificates of origin.Coordinate with logistics and shipping companies to ensure timely and accuratedelivery of products.Relationship Building:Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers,distributors, trade associations, and government agencies.Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to promoteproducts and expand networks.Strategic Planning:Develop and execute export business plans and strategies to achieve company goals.Monitor and analyze export sales performance, identifying areas for improvement.Implementing corrective actions.Collaborate with the production and supply chain teams to ensure product availabilityand timely delivery.
