Dandelion Africa reduces maternal and child mortality by providing quality and accessible healthcare to communities in hard to reach rural areas.

We do this through a medical facility, our backpack nurses who go door-to-door and a network of over 100 unpaid community health volunteers.


Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation plans for projects and programs.

Support the design and adaptation of monitoring tools and data collection instruments, ensuring alignment with project objectives and indicators.

Conduct data collection activities, including surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions.
Enter, clean, and manage data in monitoring and evaluation databases or systems.
Assist in the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, under the guidance of the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer.
Participate in field visits to project sites to monitor activities, verify data, and document progress.
Provide logistical support for monitoring and evaluation activities, including organizing meetings and workshops.
Help prepare monitoring and evaluation reports, presentations, and other communication materials.
Support capacity building initiatives for project staff and partners on monitoring and evaluation processes.
Assist in ensuring compliance with donor requirements and reporting standards related to monitoring and evaluation.

Ensure proper documentation of M&E activities including filing reports, data collection tools, and other relevant documents for easy reference.

Any other duties as maybe assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications

Diploma in a relevant field such as social sciences, statistics, or international development.
Experience in monitoring and evaluation, data collection, or research activities is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data management software.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also being a proactive team player.
Interest in learning about monitoring and evaluation methodologies and tools.
Fluency in English and Kiswahili (additional languages, particularly relevant to the organization's field of work, is an asset).
Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity, with the ability to work in multicultural environments.
Willingness to travel occasionally for field visits and project activities.
