Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Knowledge of Kenyan company law, corporate governance principles, and tax regulations is preferred.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Job role
Legal Secretarial Duties:
Assist in maintaining statutory registers, records, and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Facilitate the preparation and filing of statutory returns and other legal documents as required by relevant authorities.
Coordinate board and committee meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and ensuring compliance with corporate governance standards.
Support the drafting and reviewing of legal documents, contracts, and agreements under the guidance of senior staff.
Legal Analysis and Research:
Conduct legal research and analysis on various matters, including corporate law, employment law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
Assist in the review and interpretation of legal documents, statutes, and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.
Prepare legal memoranda, summaries, and reports to support decision-making and provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders.Stay updated on changes in legislation and legal trends that may impact the company's operations and strategies
Administrative Support:
Provide administrative support to the legal and finance departments, including document management, correspondence, and general office tasks.
Assist with ad-hoc projects and assignments as directed by senior management.
