**Job Summary:** Trauma-informed physiotherapist to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services to survivors of torture and war trauma.

This role involves assessing and treating clients with complex physical and emotional needs, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, and promoting community awareness and understanding of rehabilitation needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough physiotherapy assessments and providing individual and group sessions
  • Evaluating client progress and adjusting treatment plans accordingly
  • Collaborating with psychosocial counselors, social workers, and other disciplines to ensure comprehensive care
  • Developing community awareness and engagement programs to promote rehabilitation needs
  • Providing support and supervision to colleagues to prevent burnout and vicarious traumatization

Requirements:

  • University Degree in physiotherapy from a recognized institution
  • Registration with the Kenya Society of Physiotherapy and a valid practice license
  • 1-2 years of experience in providing physiotherapy and rehabilitative services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Swahili
