ABOUT THE COMPANY
Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) was established on 24th October 2002 by the Civil Aviation (Amendment) Act, 2002 with the primary functions towards; Regulation and oversight of Aviation Safety & Security; Economic regulation of Air Services and development of Civil Aviation; Provision of Air Navigation Services, and Training of Aviation personnel KCAA; as guided by the provisions of the convention on international civil aviation, related ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs), the Kenya Civil Aviation Act, 2013 and the civil aviation regulations.
JOB SUMMARY
Person SpecificationsFor appointment to this grade an Officer must have at least:Bachelor's Degree in any of the following disciplines: Aviation Management, Information Science, Records Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.Air Traffic Controllers' License; or Aircraft Maintenance Engineers' License; or Flight Dispatcher License or Private Pilot's License or Commercial Pilot's License or Airline Transport Pilots License.Proficiency in computer applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Receiving and verifying applications relating to issuance, renewal, extension and validation of aviation licenses such as Flight Crew Licenses, Aircraft Maintenance Engineers' License, Air Traffic Control Officers Licenses and ratings for aviation personnel.Compiling data on applications for purposes of issuance of licenses.Booking applicants for skill tests and theory examinations.Updating personnel licensing registers.Preparation of Operational Reports.
