ABOUT THE COMPANY

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) is the National Prosecuting Authority in Kenya which has been mandated by the Constitution to prosecute all criminal cases in the country.
The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) is the head of the ODPP and operates independently as stipulated under Article 157 of the Constitution. However, the DPP is required to be accountable to the Public by presenting an annual report to Parliament and the President on the performance of the ODPP. The DPP may also be required, on a need basis to present a report to Parliament on a matter of national or public interest.

JOB SUMMARY

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOTNTMENTFor appointment to this position, a candidate must have:Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean Grade D+;Valid driving license;Suitability test for driver grade III conducted by the Ministry of Roads and Public Works;Defensive driving certificate from automobile Association of Kenya or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;Occupational Trade Test III conducted by the Ministry of Roads and Public works;First Aid lasting not less than one (1) week within every three years at the Kenya institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIBIT) or any other recognized institution; andAnnual certificate of eye examination.Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya ; Integrity, Honesty and Accountability.
