We are looking for an experienced Lead Civil Engineer to oversee our civil engineering projects from inception to completion.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the engineering team, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage civil engineering projects, including design, planning, and execution.
Oversee the preparation of detailed engineering plans, drawings, and specifications.
Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and technical evaluations.
Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other professionals to ensure coordinated project delivery.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
Provide technical guidance and solutions to complex engineering challenges.
Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to ensure project requirements are met.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
Registered Engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a lead engineer role.
Proven track record in managing large-scale residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in civil engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Project, etc.).
Strong knowledge of Kenyan construction laws, regulations, and approval processes.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
