Africa Management Solutions Limited (AMSOL) is a rapidly growing Human Resources and Management consulting firm providing a variety of HR solutions to effectively cater to the human resource and management needs of any organization.

Summary:The Data management intern will collaborate with the Data & Statistics Department under the guidance of the Data & Statistics Manager to manage various data-related tasks.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Assist in data gathering
  • Conduct relevant literature reviews to identify data sources, select relevant data, define variables and analytic methods
  • Assist in performing and documenting procedures for data preparation including data cleaning and standardization
  • Develop, manage, and enhance databases
  • Develop algorithms for analyzing and presenting data
  • Detect and address issues in data and analytic results
  • Assist in producing periodical reports
  • Clearly communicate processes used and results achieved, suggest new and alternative approaches
  • Support the manager in the Distribution project
  • Perform other duties as required by the manager


Other Responsibilities:
  • Undertake additional duties assigned by Management
  • Assist other staff in their daily activities


Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the aviation industry – Travel agency or airline (distribution)
  • Understanding of airlines distribution and settlement systems
  • Familiarity with the main aviation metrics
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficient data management and analysis abilities
  • Familiarity with statistical techniques and concepts, experience with statistical languages
  • Understanding of machine learning techniques
  • Coding knowledge and experience with coding languages
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
