About the Position

UN Women is seeking a highly skilled Global EVAW Programme Specialist to join its team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's efforts to end violence against women and girls.

Job Description

The Global EVAW Programme Specialist will be responsible for coordinating the monitoring, evaluation, and knowledge management activities of UN Women's EVAW programme at the Secretariat level. This includes:

  • Facilitating the implementation of the EVAW programme's Knowledge Management strategy and M&E framework;
  • Providing quality assurance of EVAW programme documents through ad-hoc review of results frameworks to meet SMART criteria;
  • Developing, updating, and ensuring the effective use of M&E-related guidance documents by relevant staff;
  • Contributing to the development of and implementation of the M&E sections and results framework of the EVAW programme strategies;
  • Supporting the management of internal/external evaluations of the EVAW programme strategy and the entire evaluation process;
  • Managing other monitoring and evaluation-related events, products, and technical assistance needs, and representing the EVAW programme at technical meetings.

The successful candidate will also contribute to the development and implementation of the SHINE Hub, a multi-lingual platform for amplifying and co-producing knowledge on EVAW.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • A Master's degree in International Development, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field;
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in Results-Based Management (RBM), Monitoring and Evaluation, knowledge management, and uptake in the context of ending violence against women and/or gender equality programming;
  • Experience in developing and implementing an M&E system, designing and conducting training on M&E for EVAW, and developing and implementing guidelines and tools on RBM, reporting, and M&E;
  • Excellent knowledge of EVAW and gender quality/women's empowerment development and use of indicators to support results-based management;
  • Fluency in English (oral and written) and working knowledge in Spanish and/or French is desirable.
